Salesforce development & architecture

Salesforce that works the way your business does.

I'm Justin Clarke, a certified Salesforce developer and technical architect with more than 15 years on the platform. I help growing teams automate their processes, connect their tools, and clear out the technical debt that slows them down.

Services

Hands-on work from someone who writes the code. No account managers, no hand-offs to a junior team.

Custom development

Apex, triggers and Lightning Web Components, built bulk-safe, tested and maintainable. Asynchronous processing with Queueable and Batch Apex for high-volume work.

Automation

Record-triggered Flows, assignment and routing logic, and migrating legacy Workflow Rules and Process Builder to Flow before they become a liability.

Integrations

REST API integrations between Salesforce and the tools you already use: marketing automation, billing, support, product analytics, telephony and video.

Architecture & org health

Audits and refactoring: trigger frameworks, governor-limit problems, technical debt, data-model reviews and Classic-to-Lightning migrations.

Marketing & sales ops

Account Engagement (Pardot) and Sales Cloud setup, lead routing, round-robin assignment, and clean-up of picklists, page layouts and reports.

Ongoing support

A fractional Salesforce developer for teams without one in-house: on-demand fixes, enhancements and release management on a monthly retainer.

Selected work

A few things I've designed and built for clients and employers.

Async processing framework

A queueing system for asynchronous Apex with logging and automatic retries. It keeps high-volume processes inside governor limits and makes every failure visible and recoverable.

Classic-to-Lightning migration

Led a six-person team migrating a heavily customized org to Lightning: re-architected the trigger code and rebuilt key screens as Lightning Web Components.

Metadata-driven rollups

Configurable rollup summaries across any field and relationship, so new rollups are set up as configuration instead of written as code.

Integration libraries

An Apex library for the Account Engagement (Pardot) API, a Zoom integration for meeting scheduling and activity logging, and connections to Intercom, Segment, Recurly and Typeform.

Lead routing

Custom round-robin assignment for leads and contacts, with rules the sales team can adjust without a developer.

HR & talent apps in LWC

Custom Lightning Web Component interfaces for performance reviews, succession planning and skills tracking at a global engineering firm.

About

I've worked on Salesforce since 2009: first as an administrator, then as a developer, lead developer and technical architect.

For nine years I led Salesforce development for an entrepreneurial coaching company, heading the team through a full Classic-to-Lightning migration. I've also built and run Salesforce automation and integrations for an international online printing company, delivered Lightning Web Component apps for a global engineering firm, and integrated a ticketing start-up's SaaS stack.

Before Salesforce, I managed research and data systems for a market-research firm, including a data warehouse of more than two million contacts. I hold a BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University.
